Diego Sarabia, one of seven Chi Phi members named in a recent civil lawsuit regarding an alleged 2024 sexual assault, is no longer employed at Wells Fargo. Sarabia had worked at the bank’s Charlotte, North Carolina office since 2022. The bank’s decision followed an announcement Monday by the Tompkins County District Attorney, who confirmed his office is reopening the criminal investigation and preparing to present the case to a grand jury. No criminal charges were filed when the incident was initially reported in 2024. The civil suit alleges that a female student was drugged and assaulted at the fraternity house after drinking in Collegetown. Moonies Bar & Nightclub has denied serving the plaintiff underage, while Wells Fargo and Sarabia have not publicly commented.
