EXCLUSIVE: Now-notorious antisemite Austin Franco has long been a Jew-hating Nazi-lover. Cornellians Only can exclusively confirm that, in April of this year, Franco celebrated Hitler’s birthday with a flattering photo on his Instagram story. Our tipster described Franco as a “sketchy” student who made “racist” comments in class.
Last week, it was revealed that Franco rejected a job interview at a company with Jewish founders, stating: “Not interested in working for a jew.” The comments from the ILR sophomore quickly went viral, sparking widespread outrage (and some support) across the internet. The student has been reported to the Cornell Office of Civil Rights as a bias incident. The university is “actively reviewing the matter.”
Seemingly seeking online fame, Franco recently reaffirmed his disdain for Jews and his desire to be a political leader, writing on X: “I hope to be a voice for the people of this country.”
A GiveSendGo fundraiser supporting Franco, which has raised nearly $10,000, is littered with antisemitic comments.
