The Board of Trustees has formed a special committee to oversee an investigation into the events of April 30 involving President Michael Kotlikoff. The probe follows a confrontation in a campus parking lot where the President’s vehicle bumped into student protesters following a debate on Gaza.
President Kotlikoff has recused himself from the review to ensure an independent process. The investigation by the Division of Public Safety will examine the night in its entirety after videos appeared to show the President’s SUV making contact with students who were questioning him.
This investigation comes as students continue to challenge the administration’s restrictive protest policies. Many on campus remain vocal about the university’s treatment of demonstrators, citing a history of crackdowns and the previous deportation of student activists by the Trump administration.
