The Class of 2026 Convocation Committee announced that actress and Cornell alumna Jane Lynch will return to Ithaca as this year’s keynote speaker. Known for her iconic roles in Glee and Only Murders in the Building, Lynch earned her MFA from Cornell in 1984 and is set to bring a high-energy spirit to the Barton Hall stage. The event is scheduled for May 21 and serves as a student-led celebration of the undergraduate experience. Student organizers selected Lynch for her Big Red spirit and her ability to provide a light-hearted, fun environment for the graduating class. Seniors have first priority to reserve tickets now. Other members of the Cornell community, including graduate students and faculty, will have the opportunity to access remaining tickets in the coming weeks.
