It has been widely reported by the Ithaca Voice, Cornell Daily Sun, and others, that a former Cornell student was recently convicted of rape and burglary.
According to the indictment, in September 2024, Enkhbayar “knowingly and unlawfully [entered] a dorm room with the intent to commit a crime therein and [engaged] in vaginal sexual contact with another person who was incapable of consent by reason of being physically helpless.”
On November 24, 2025, 22-year-old Bilguun Enkhbayar was convicted of Rape in the First Degree and Burglary in the Second Degree after a week-long jury trial found him guilty of all charges, according to a November 25 press release by Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten.
A Local Media Sensation
Before his conviction, Enkhbayar was a celebrated in his home country of Mongolia for his academic success. While he now seeks anonymity, his past media appearances remain a matter of public record. Don't believe us? See for yourself:

The Exclusive Investigation
On December 3rd, Cornellians Only exclusively reported on the likeness and background of the perpetrator. While the Cornell Daily Sun reported they were "unable to verify" his student status, our investigation confirmed the convict was a member of the Class of 2027 with the NetID be245.
In the days following our report, we received legal threats demanding we remove the image of the rapist from our social media pages.
We have been told to take down his photo so Enkhbayar can hide in anonymity. We refuse to be intimidated. Anonymity is a privilege Enkhbayar forfeited the moment he preyed on a physically helpless student. Hiding the identity of a predator only serves to protect the guilty, not the community. Accountability means being seen. We believe it is a matter of public safety and victim advocacy to ensure his face does not disappear into obscurity.
The Man Behind the Mask
Before he was a convicted felon facing 25 years in state prison, Enkhbayar cultivated a carefully curated—and now sickening—persona of altruism and leadership. He arrived in Ithaca from Darkhan-Uul, Mongolia, as a celebrated scholar who had secured a massive $328,000 full-ride scholarship to Cornell University.
Enkhbayar majored in Global & Public Health Sciences and wasted no time embedding himself in campus life. He claimed to have served as the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Cornell Capital Club, a position of influence he held while masquerading as a "Lifestyle Coach." The Capital Club is still active and has issued no public statement as of publishing.
His resume is a testament to his hypocrisy. He touted himself as the founder of "Hutli Education," an NGO he claimed was built to "promote opportunity equality." He boasted about "sharing valuable things" and wrote in his professional summary: "I believe that lifestyle can empower anyone's life & dreams."
Enkhbayar's alleged professional background also reveals a pattern of extensive access to minors.
Following his graduation from the Tomujin Alternative School, he was hired by the institution as an
"Assistant
of Admissions Officer," utilizing the corporate email bilguun@tomujin.org to process
student applications. His resume further details his role as a "Program Developer" leading high
schoolers on a travel program to Phuket, Thailand, and claimed to have educated over 6,000 children
through his non-profit work.
In reality, the man who preached about "empowering someone's life" utilized his time at Cornell to prey on the vulnerable. The dissonance is jarring: Enkhbayar spent two gap years supposedly "preparing for life" and "getting to know myself better," only to end his academic career by breaking into a dorm room to assault a physically helpless woman.
Sentencing is scheduled for February 24, 2026, before Judge Scott A. Miller.
